Join us for an evening of celebrating the Kenny neighborhood! Food and refreshments to be provided. Musical performances by the Kenny Glee Club and local band. Hear about what’s been happening in the community. Vote for Board members at our Annual Election and help us decide priorities for the upcoming year.
One of the best ways to support our small but mighty neighborhood is to serve on our Board of Directors! We’re always looking for volunteers to not only join the Board, but also committees and events. Shelly R. – I got involved in KNA to get closer to my neighborhood and community in general. It’s very easy to get swept up in social media or news that focuses on other communities or a larger demographic, when we’re impacted the most by local. Our neighborhoods, our kids’ schools, local government all have a more profound impact on us than national or international events. And we can contribute to building up, not tarring down. I feel a sense of ownership if I take the initiative and get involved. And it’s fun, we have a good time working together on initiatives, being part of a group and socializing. We have a very informed and productive Environmental committee, they’re always working on new ways to bring solutions and advocacy to our neighborhood, I’ve learned a lot from them. I love being a member of the Community Engagement committee – we have a great time planning events and we love seeing them through. The joy on our neighbors faces is worth it every time. My favorite duty is delivering the new home packets to our new neighbors in Kenny. I was so touched when I received mine when I moved in, and now I get to spread that kindness and inclusion to others. I love living in Kenny and I know we have great neighbors, come see what we’re all about!
